Crafted from recycled non-galvanized steel and zinc, these cages form an underwater “battery” with the salty ocean water, generating a natural galvanic current. The glass wine bottles, along with the current, activate the evolutionary process that enhances the wine’s character and complexity.
Preserving the Wine's Purity
Before each bottle descends into the Pacific, it undergoes meticulous preparation to ensure the highest level of quality and perfection. A high-density corking system prevents seepage and preserves the wine’s purity against the ocean’s influence. We use only the highest quality wax and our proprietary sealant to ensure a completely waterproof seal with no risk of contamination.
Accelerating Maturation
Our cages are submerged to a precise depth that mirrors the pressure within the bottle’s ullage and achieves a perfect balance. Our U.S. patent covers this revolutionary process, which accelerates the maturation of wine and produces a result typical of varietals traditionally aged 5 to 12 years.
