The cuvée is composed of roughly 40% Chardonnay and 60% red-grape varieties (approximately 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier). The high proportion of Chardonnay—unusual for non-vintage Champagne—lends a pale gold hue and an airy freshness often reserved for the finest Blancs de Blancs. Meticulous pressing occurs immediately after manual harvest, tanks are temperature-controlled, and the cuvée spends nearly four years on the lees—well beyond the legal minimum. The result is a terroir-driven base: chalk, white-flower breezes, pear-orchard light, and the tension of cool nights married to steady vines.
